Gangtok’s Himalayan Zoo Welcomes Twin Red Panda Cubs As `Lucky` Turns Mother

At Gangtok’s Himalayan Zoological Park commonly known as Bulbulee a red panda named Lucky has given birth to two cubs who are currently nesting together with her. The cubs will remain off-display for about a year before being introduced to visitors. The arrival of these cubs marks a rare success for conservation efforts as red pandas face mounting threats in the wild and remain listed as an endangered species.
